The MAEC Cup 2026 is a 7 vs 7 indoor soccer tournament event for the Afghan community organized by the MAEC Group in Montreal , Quebec, Canada. The MAEC Cup's mission is to encourage community youth participation in group sports (soccer), create a fun and respectful social ambiance for families and friends, and promote unity, respect, friendship and sportsmanship.
Teams Registration has closed.
THE MAEC Cup 2026 will be accepting team participants in Men Open, Men 35+ , and Men 45+.
Teams can have a minimum of 7 up to the maximum of 12 players on the roster.
The MAEC Cup 2026 tournament is catered strictly towards the Afghan-Canadian community with the following exceptions: Each team can have up to maximum of THREE non-afghan players, applicable to all categories.
Players are prohibited from participating in more than one category. The only exception is Men 40+ of age that may play in both Men 35+/45+ categories.
IMPORTANT: A player participating in 2 categories MUST be enlisted in the team roster forms of BOTH categories by the due deadline.
The participation fee is CND $1000 per team. A late payment fee of 15% will be added if FULL amount is not paid by the due date as per Teams Registration Confirmation Email sent to participating teams.
Once a team's registration is received through our web, a confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours with details for payment. Depending on their location, teams can pay the fees by email transfer or in person to one of the MAEC associates.
The schedule draw will take place one week prior to the event date.
